A suspected Naxal was injured in a clash between police and Naxals in Maharashtra’s Gondia district. Police arrested the accused and airlifted him to Nagpur for treatment.
“A group of suspected Naxals opened fire on a police team that was patrolling the area. We arrested them and took the injured to Deori Hospital for first aid but their condition was critical. Now they have been admitted to Orange City Hospital in Nagpur. And he is undergoing treatment,” said Vishwa Pansare, SP Gondia.
Police said that the suspected Naxalite team has not been identified yet. Further investigation is going on.
